Chef Barlas Günebak was born in Mersin in 1983. Chef Barlas, whose interest in cooking came from his family, started his profession as a chief at Martı Myra Hotel in Antalya. He first met Sushi in this period. He was very impressed by original and artistic Japanese cuisine. And he decided to improve his career in this cuisene. In 2003, the first big step in his career has been taken by working at the Japanese restaurant Benihana. Two years later, he became the sushi chef of Itsumi. He took part in the opening of Iyoki after six years. He wrote his name among the chefs who came to mind when talking about sushi with his individual menu trials. Barlas, has Sushi Master Chef title, is the first Omakase chef in Turkey.
